The Rodman Ride for Kids
COMPASS and The Rodman Ride for Kids Celebrate 10 Years Together

The Rodman Ride for Kids (RRFK) is an umbrella matching gift charity that raises funds for youth-focused social service agencies in Massachusetts. Their mission is "to have every kid in our community live as we would want our kids to live." For 10 years, COMPASS has been one of 30 nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts that has been invited to be a designated agency.
The Ride and its beneficiary agencies fundraise year-round, culminating with The Ride event itself,
when over 1,200 cyclists participate in 25, 50, or 100-mile noncompetitive cycling tours. Held each fall since 1991,
the Ride has raised over $31 million for at-risk children.
COMPASS staff and volunteers are involved in all aspects of The Ride:
- as riders
- as hosts of Water Stop 5 where they help make the day safe and enjoyable for over 1000 bikers
- by transporting ride "spotters" to help direct the bicyclists
- and as representatives in The Ride's "Agency Alley," a place to share information on program services
COMPASS Receives an Additional 10% Match from the Ride
COMPASS raises funds each year through individual donors, riderships, and corporate and foundation sponsorships.
In turn, The Ride For Kids adds to these funds with a 10% match. All expenses associated with The Ride are underwritten
by The Ride For Kids, so this means that when you donate to Rodman Ride for Kids / COMPASS, 110% of your donation will go
directly to COMPASS.
