COMPASS provides a wide range of special education, prevention,
enrichment, and support services to economically disadvantaged and
at-risk children, adolescents and families. Core programs are funded through contracts with Massachusetts Department
of Education and the Department of Social Services. Special initiative
programming is supported through fundraising events and the generous donations of
individuals, corporations and foundations. COMPASS' core programs consist of:
To complement these programs, COMPASS has developed additional services that have evolved over its 34-year history in response to the changing needs of the children and families we serve. These special initiatives include emergency funding to provide food, clothing and household furnishings to families in need, summer camperships, an after school program, a Boost-Up/BEAMS behavior management program, the COMPASS Café/Culinary Arts Program, a music/studio program, art program, and several sports teams. COMPASS fundraising events, including the annual Rodman Ride for Kids, the Golf Tournament and this year's Red Sox Raffle support these critical services. These fundraising events are matched by COMPASS' participation in the Rodman Ride for Kids (www.rodmanrideforkids.org), an umbrella matching gift charity that raise funds for at-risk children in Massachusetts. We are grateful to the individuals, corporations and foundations who support COMPASS' programs by investing in our mission to equip those whom we serve with the skills to become self-sufficient, productive members of society. We welcome the support of new donors -- individual, corporate and foundation. For further information, please call COMPASS at 617-524-1290, ext. 303. |
